About Robert
Robert Wood, a true Lubbock native, has raised his family in this community and now enjoys watching his grandchildren grow up nearby. Alongside his wife, Candace Wood, Robert enjoys the cooking and hosting gatherings for friends and family.

Beginning his illustrious career in home building in 1979, Robert expanded into custom home services in 2002. His leadership is well recognized, having served as President of the West Texas Home Builders Association (WTHBA) and holding several key roles within the Texas Home Builders Association. A dedicated philanthropist, Robert founded Homes for Heroes and has been honored with multiple awards for his charitable contributions.

For over a decade, Robert has partnered with Trey Strong in developing residential neighborhoods, always prioritizing strong relationships with builders. Passionate about education, he actively supports local schools and initiatives that promote educational growth and community enrichment. Together, they are committed to building the future of West Texas.

About Trey
Born and raised in Lubbock, Trey Strong now enjoys raising his two children, Evelyn and Jack, alongside his wife, Mary Katherine Strong. A jack of all trades, Trey engages in a variety of activities, from hunting to coaching his son’s baseball team. A proud Texas Tech alumnus, Trey has dedicated over two decades to the home building industry.

Trey’s contributions extend beyond building custom homes; he has served as President of the West Texas Home Builders Association (WTHBA) and remains actively involved in volunteering and supporting the Lubbock community. His outstanding success and dedication have earned him multiple awards, solidifying his reputation for excellence in building.

Teaming up with Robert Wood, Trey embarked on land development to further the growth of the West Texas area. As an experienced builder himself, Trey brings a keen eye for quality and detail to every project, ensuring the creation of vibrant and thriving neighborhoods that meet the diverse needs of the community.

About Jeff
Jeff Sweat holds a BBA from Wayland Baptist University and an MBA from Texas Tech University. With two years at the company, Jeff enjoys seeing subdivisions transform from raw land into flourishing neighborhoods, working alongside his exceptional co-workers.

Married to his wife Danielle for 25 years, Jeff is the proud father of two children, Noah (18) and Natalie (16), residing in Wolfforth, TX. He is also a dedicated volunteer for CASA of The South Plains, contributing to the betterment of our community’s youth.

In his free time, Jeff enjoys hunting and fishing. His dedication to both his family and his work makes him a valued member of the team, contributing to the development of thriving communities in West Texas.

Dusti Carter

About Dusti
Dusti has been an indispensable part of the Strong family businesses for over 24 years, efficiently managing office operations with dedication and humor. Equipped with two master’s degrees from Lubbock Christian University, Dusti is another proud Lubbock local on the team.

Outside of work, Dusti enjoys spending time with her family listening to live music, hanging out on her back patio, or watching baseball and football. Taking care of others is what fuels her spirit.

Ellen Wallace

Ellen Wallace is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University and has been happily married to her husband, Shay Wallace, for 28 years. Together, they have two children: Chandler, who is 25, and Parker, who is 20.

With 15 years of dedicated service, Ellen is a crucial part of the West Texas Land Guys team. Her favorite aspect of working with the organization is the dynamic nature of the job, as no two days are ever the same.

Ellen has a green thumb and enjoys spending her weekends gardening. Additionally, she is actively involved in our community, often found volunteering or organizing events.

Kendall Cox

About Kendall
Kendall Cox has been an integral part of the team for 5 years, managing a vital crew and ensuring the success of projects. A graduate of Lubbock Christian University, Kendall is known as the go-to guy, often out with clients or on-site, overseeing the progress of developments.

Kendall is happily married to Ashley Cox, and together they have three children. Outside of work, Kendall is a master chef, often found at a ranch, by a lake, or cooking up something delicious for a cook-off or for a good time.

Zoe is a proud Texas Tech University recent alumna specializing in marketing, social media and all things events. She began her role with the company while earning her college degree. Her favorite aspects of working for the organization include meeting people in the industry, collaborating with her co-workers on creative projects, and, of course, the Parade of Homes!

In her free time, Zoe enjoys a variety of hobbies and spending quality time with her family. Wreck ’em!
